Hello

My wife and I took part in a 'Meet the Birds' experience a couple of weekends ago on the morning of Saturday 11th September, to celebrate our Wedding anniversary. I wanted to pass on our thanks for what was a wonderful few hours which gave both of us some cherished memories and cracking photo's!

I'm afraid I can not remember the name of the falconer who took us through the session but I hope you might be able to identify him to pass on our thanks. He was fantastic, I doubt whether he could be more knowledgable about the subject and he gave great consideration to making the experience as special as it could be to all of us who were there that morning. He also took the time to find us at the end of the experience to thank us for attending and checking that it had been ok for us which was a very nice touch.

Unfortunately we were unable to take up his offer to spend the rest of the afternoon with you as we had to head off home however we certainly hope to be heading back to see you soon. Thanks again for a day to remember.

Good Morning

Just wanted to drop you an email to give you some feedback about my Experience Day, which my girlfriend bought me as Valentine's Day present earlier this year.

We attended yesterday morning and we were greeted by, I think it was Rob (aplogies if I have the name wrong), and taken out to meet some of the birds tethered on the lawn in the aviary area. From the first moment it was evident he was a great enthusiast and proceeded to tell us all about the birds, in much greater depth than was probably needed for the normal 'experience'. His enthusiasm and sense of humour brought the whole experience to life and his love and respect for the birds was evident.

His knowledge, which he imparted through the whole of the morning, was fantastic and although I have always loved eagles and owls etc, I learned much more in three hours than I would ever have anticipated. The feeling as the birds land on your gloved hand and you see them come into your line of site as they hone in on their prey was very exhilarating to say the least.

So a big thank you for my girlfriend who bought me the ‘experience day’ and also a big thank you for the centre and to Rob for a fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning. An experience I will cherish always.
