believe that experience days should be something very
special. Our experience days
are perfect gifts for yourself or a loved one. We provide
falconry experiences that are unique and offer quality
and service that are second to none. We do this by putting
the most emphasis on allowing our guests to get hands-on
with birds of prey. Our collection of trained birds is
large enough to ensure that a participant will get as
much “flying time” as is possible. Thus after
a short introduction on all of our experience days you
will be whisked away to the flying arena to begin your
hands-on enjoyment. Several of our experiences comprise
a full day making our experience days something really
special.

and try to pigeon hole each session for you.
Meet the Birds:
This is an excellent session for bird
lovers, bird watchers and any adult that would like
a day out with a difference. Aimed at providing an introduction
to birds of prey with as much hands-on experience provided
as is possible in the three hours this session is a
best
seller.
Walk on the Wildside:
Provides its participants with
plenty of handling of birds of prey but lacks the variety
of species as in this session you will concentrate on
the hunting abilities of the harris hawk as it flies
free in the Cheshire Countryside. Birdwatchers particularly
enjoy this session as they are seeing birds behaving
as nature intended, something you would be privileged
to witness in their natural environment.
The Full Day Falconry Experience:
Ideal for that special
gift as it combines our Meet the Birds (morning session)
with the Walk the Wildside (afternoon session).
In short, this experience will appeal to everybody and
is
probably
our most popular experience day.
Owl Encounter:
Owls, they just do it for some people. This became
apparent early on in our “meet the birds” sessions.
In response to popular demand we conceived the Owl Encounter
where owl lovers could spend an afternoon handling and
flying their favourite birds.
Junior Owl Experience:
Youngster under the age of twelve
need not worry as we have the perfect Experience for
them. They can handle and fly an owl for half an hour
or so under the supervision of a parent and a professional
falconer.
Eagle Encounter:
For the adventurous, brave and intrepid
the Eagle Encounter has to be our ultimate experience
day. Lots of handling, lots of flying and not just
the “normal” birds
you might expect to fly on the other sessions. This
experience day includes the really big birds; the eagles.
These
truly magnificent creatures have no natural predators,
except man of course but then when one of them is sitting
on your glove we dare say that it has the upper hand!
About Our Experience Days - Gift Vouchers
Gift Experience Vouchers are the ideal way to give your
loved one an extra special present without committing
them to a particular date. Cheshire Falconry Gift Vouchers
are available for each one of our Falconry Experiences
and each is unique to the particular format contained
therein. At present, all of our Gift Vouchers are supplied
in the form of a card with the front face printed with
a design by renowned wildlife artist Colin Woolf. When
the card is opened facing the recipient is the gift voucher
itself which explains what experience the lucky recipient
has been bought plus information regarding spectators
and what they must do in order to redeem the experience
voucher. Alongside this on the inside left plate of the
card there is plenty of space to personalise the card
yourself and insert your own message.
Cheshire Falconry’s experience vouchers make the
perfect gift. We will send them out to you by first class
post on receipt of the payment for your order, whether
online or over the phone. We can even arrange to have
the vouchers sent out for next day delivery for a surcharge
applicable to cover the extra costs involved. (Gift Vouchers
will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery and must
be signed for. They will be guaranteed for delivery before
10.30 the next day provided the order is received before
3.30pm).
